Resumo: This study seeks to promote the industrial heritage that have been put in tourist value in the province of Imbabura - Ecuador. This kind of heritage is composed by the Train of the Liberty, Imbabura Textile Factory and The San José Sugar Mill. In the past they had an industrial function and today they are used as tourism resources. This subject is relatively new in Ecuador because it is not known as a 'industrial country' so it may be interesting for lovers of exotic industrial heritage. Among the conclusions the preindustrial connections of the aforementioned heritage and the acceptance in recent years of this type of tourism are highlighted.
