Resumo: The study of landscapes such as geographic integration approach, allow, identify, classify and mapping homogeneous spatial units at different scales, which can be used as a basis for the evaluation of the potential of a territory for several human activities that develop or could be developed. In this work our aim is to present the evaluation of the potential of landscapes for the development of tourism in the municipality of Paranaíba, located in the extreme northeast of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the Center West of Brazil, using for this a series integrated indicators obtained from the map of landscape units, among which we have: naturalness, diversity, uniqueness, complexity and visual quality of the landscape. Which will allow to make a proposal to develop recreational activities and its intensity, looking for the development of tourism in a sustainable manner in this municipality
