Resumo: The arrival of cruise ships at the port of Cartagena (Murcia) has become in a few years as one of the greatest tourism resources that add value to the city and its area of influence, in fact, Cartagena is one of the ten Spanish ports that receive most visitors annually. This work shows, through the analysis of statistics, in-depth interviews and questionnaires, proves the perception that experts already have about the influence of the cultural landscape of this city to be a choice for tourists destination,   and also the advice of these experts, supported by the SWOT analysis tool, to continue with the comprehensive recovery of archaeological remains and the urban rehabilitation, undertaking works to expand the dock or promoting international tourism, all initiatives, will undoubtedly have an impact on further development of this city as a solid cultural landscape located in SE Spanish, on the banks of the Mare Nostrum.
