Resumo: ETHNIC TOURISM AT MINA DU VELOSO IN OURO PRETO (MG): a study of the interpretive equipment of afro heritage Resumo: O turismo étnico no Brasil traz outras perspectivas históricas para entender os bens culturais afros pertencentes a determinados grupos étnicos no país. O objetivo desse trabalho é mostrar a história silenciada dos africanos mineradores no Brasil colonial, ressignificando, interpretando e preservando as antigas estruturas da mineração aurífera setecentista localizadas em Ouro Preto/MG como patrimônio afro-brasileiro. Situa-se aqui, a Mina Du Veloso como atrativo turístico que utiliza a história afrocentrada para apresentar esse patrimônio aos visitantes. Metodologicamente a pesquisa baseia-se na observação participante realizada por um dos autores que trabalhou como Guia de Turismo da Mina Du Veloso. Como resultado, percebe-se que a junção de indivíduos pertencentes ao mesmo grupo étnico alinhados com a história e o turismo, são capazes de valorizar e apresentar seus bens patrimoniais.Palavras-Chave: Turismo Étnico Afro; História; Ouro Preto (MG); Patrimônio; Mina Du Veloso. Abstract: Ethnic tourism in Brazil brings other historical perspectives to understand afro cultural goods belonging to certain ethnic groups in the country. The objective of this work is to show the silenced history of african miners in colonial Brazil, giving new meaning to, interpreting and preserving the old structures of eighteenth century gold mining located in Ouro Preto/MG as an afro-brazilian heritage. Here, Mina Du Veloso is a tourist attraction that uses afro-centered history to present this heritage to visitors. Methodologically, the research is based on participant observation carried out by one of the authors who worked as a Tourism Guide at Mina Du Veloso. As a result, it is clear that the joining of individuals belonging to the same ethnic group, aligned with history and tourism, are able to value and present their heritage assets.Keywords: Afro Ethnic Tourism; History; Ouro Preto (MG); Heritage; Mina Du Veloso.
