Resumo: PLANNING OF CYCLE TOURISM ROUTES AS A STRATEGY FOR TRANSFORMATION AND VALUATION OF THE PLACE: a conceptual framework Resumo: O estudo analisa os roteiros de cicloturismo como estratégia de valorização dos lugares, dos saberes e fazeres comunitários. Como objetivos específicos busca apresentar as principais características e dimensões deste segmento turístico, discutir aspectos referentes ao planejamento e organização de roteiros cicloturísticos e apontar alguns benefícios do cicloturismo na promoção do desenvolvimento local. Elegeu-se a pesquisa exploratória de caráter descritivo, por meio do método bibliográfico (GIL, 2002), tendo por base as contribuições de autores como Urry (2007), Lamont (2009), Bahl (2006) e Soares (2010). Os resultados da pesquisa sinalizam os benefícios da organização de roteiros cicloturísticos, como a interação entre ciclistas e os espaços urbanos e naturais, circulação de ideias e representações sobre os lugares, e o estímulo a projetos de turismo de base local, por meio de práticas solidárias de valorização das comunidades e do seu patrimônio.Palavras-Chave: Mobilidade. Turismo Sustentável. Cicloturismo. Roteiros turísticos. Desenvolvimento local. Abstract: The study analyzes cycling routes as a strategy for valuing places, knowledge and community activities. As specific objectives it seeks to present the main characteristics and dimensions of this tourist segment, to discuss aspects related to the planning and organization of cycle tourism routes and to point out some benefits of cycling tourism in promoting local development. It was chosen descriptive exploratory research using the bibliographic method Gil (2002) based on the contributions of authors such as Urry (2007), Lamont (20090), Bahl (2006) and Soares (2010). The results indicate the benefits of organizing bicycle tours, such as the interaction between cyclists with urban and natural spaces, the circulation of ideas and representations about places and the encouragement of community based tourism projects, through solidary valuation practices of communities and their heritage.Keywords: Mobility.
