Resumo: The tourism of the third age or the gerontological tourism represents a strategy of differentiation in the relations of this segment, however, it is presented as a heterogeneous group with different levels of response. The objective of the work is to identify and analyse the segment of older adults as users of tourism in Mexico. The research is documentary with an exploratory-descriptive design that uses secondary sources of information. As a result, the age group over 65 in Mexico, that is, older adults, has been derived from population aging, and has realized that time is free.
