Resumo: The declaration of the province of Cienfuegos World Heritage of Humanity is one of the triggers that enabled Cultural Tourism in the province of Cienfuegos to become an emerging economic alternative or line for the development of the local economy. There is full coincidence in the will of the administration and politics, this being endorsed in the work objectives declared in the Provincial Development Strategy in the medium and long term.
This work is part of the Cultural Industry dimension corresponding to the doctoral research that has Cultural Tourism as its research topic. This dimension is in the diagnostic stage. It aims to promote cultural industries in the province of Cienfuegos.
To achieve the proposed objective, we help ourselves with the design of our own methodology that implies the particularities of Cienfuegos. In its design, primary sources and external sources were used. The latter had a leading role. The methods used were, as a logical method, the analogy; In addition to the historical, dialectical, analytical, synthetic, modeling and measurement methods.
The result of the research presented here is a partial result and corresponds to the inventory of cultural industries in the municipality of Cienfuegos.
