Resumo: Educational tourism is recognized as a facilitator of learning experiences for very heterogeneous demand segments. This article also focuses on the possibilities offered by this tourist typology in the teaching-learning process of Compulsory Secondary Education and uses the municipality of Moratalla and the Center for Cave Art of the Region of Murcia as the articulating axis. A descriptive and exploratory design is used, with a qualitative methodological approach, because specific places are described for the analysis, observation and evaluation of the offer dedicated to students and it can be considered exploratory because, in the chosen geographical context, we did not find previous studies similar. Finally, it is classified as qualitative methodological due to the description and analysis of different points of view, compiled from a bibliographic review, of different existing documents, Internet browsing and other documentary sources, which allow to complement the information and generate a broad examination of the same. It was concluded that educational tourism can constitute a travel experience for those who wish to expand their knowledge, as well as a learning tool in non-formal educational contexts, complementing the teaching strategies implemented in the classrooms, especially in what is expected regarding the importance of knowledge of an environment that must be preserved, understood and respected.
