Resumo: This research reveals that cultural tourism management in the diplomatic relations of Ecuador projected to other states is fundamental for the international task towards peace, harmony, and progress of all united people but with their identity differences. The basic problem of this investigation was the deficient articulation in plans between international relations, culture and tourism in Ecuador. For this reason, a study of descriptive scope was undertaken, for the general objective of analyzing the tourist cultural management that is undertaken in Ecuador's diplomatic relations for its strengthening and projection in the international field. In this way, the hypothesis  was whether the implementation of a strategic plan for cultural tourism management in the Ecuadorian diplomatic missions would strengthen Ecuador's international and diplomatic relations with other countries. For the validation of the study, 384 public surveys were carried out related to the object of study and 5 interviews with specialists from the cultural, tourist and international relations fields. The aim was to establish the need for joint work of tourism and cultural management in order to strengthen the cultural identity of the citizens settled abroad and position the image of Ecuador as a tourist destination with high cultural richness. Therefore, as a practical contribution, this document presents the programmatic lines required by a strategic plan that includes tourism, culture and international relations
