Resumo: apijulapa destination located in the mountains of the state of Tabasco, in Mexico, belongs to the municipality of Tacotalpa. It is located 1 hour from the state capital and various types of tourism are carried out in it, it is in the mountains and also an exclusive handicraft is made with wicker. The objective of this research is to demonstrate the sustainability and cultural heritage of said place, using a qualitative descriptive methodology with various data collection techniques such as interviews, observation and documentary analysis to demonstrate the way in which tourism positively influences, without damaging the environment or buildings. It is concluded that a greater promotion and infrastructure of the place with traditional tourist activities, training for locals and native groups is lacking to be fully sustainable and be considered an important national and international tourist destination.
