Resumo: A realização de viagens por motivos religiosos tem sido transversal ao longo da evolução da humanidade, nas décadas mais recentes, algumas destas viagens foram motivadas pelo turismo (religioso). As tecnologias da informação e comunicações (TIC) tem tido muito impacto sobre o turismo ao longo das últimas décadas, uma vez que a informação é um dos aspetos mais importantes a considerar no sector do turismo. As TIC podem contribuir para uma divulgação de conhecimento mais completo sobre o patrimônio tangível e intangível. A partilha e a disseminação do conhecimento sobre esse património (religioso), em termos gerais, deverá ser acessível a todos os tipos de utilizadores, desde os residentes, aos turistas ditos “tradicionais”, aos turistas com limitações visuais, auditivas, de mobilidade, etc., e a grupos específicos com características especiais, como por exemplo, idosos e crianças. Neste contexto, este trabalho propõe um referencial metodológico para o desenvolvimento de um novo produto tecnológico para o turismo religioso, o qual potenciará o envolvimento afetivo do turista com o património que está a visualizar enquanto promove a sua experiência turística, a um nível pessoal e espiritual. PALAVRAS-CHAVE Turismo Religioso. Tecnologias de Informação e de Comunicação.  ABSTRACTJourneys for religious reasons has been occurring along the evolution of humanity, in more recent decades, some of these travels were motivated only by (religious) tourism reasons. The information and communications technologies (ICTs) has had much impact on tourism over time, because information is one of the most important aspects to consider in the tourism sector. ICT can contribute to greater and better dissemination of knowledge about tangible and intangible heritage, while potentiate the acquisition deeper knowledge by the tourist (or local). The sharing and dissemination of the heritage (religious) knowledge in general should nowadays be focus in all kind of users, from residents, to “traditional” tourists, including tourists with accessibility limitations, hearing and/or visual impairments, restricted mobility, etc., and special groups, like senior citizens and kids.  In this context, this paper presents a methodological referential for the development of a system (application) that enhances the increase in tourist affective immersion with the displayed heritage and promoting his/her tourist experience, in a personal and spiritual level.KEY-WORDS Religious Tourism.
