Resumo: The text is part of the final report of the investigation “The Variegated Leisure. Notes for a reading in Pluriversity Contexts. Readings from the Popular and Traditional Playful Practices ”, carried out in the Post-Doctorate Program in Cultural Studies of the Advanced Program of Contemporary Culture of the Faculty of Letters of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. It corresponds to a documentary investigation, whose purpose was to present some sketches that will allow, beyond totalizing references, one -among others- capable of recognizing complexity as a constituent condition of our Latin American societies. For this, an analysis of three collective books made with authors from the region, on the theme of leisure, recreation and free time, was carried out, seeking to specify the main trends of the field in the region.
