Resumo: The purpose of this article is to analyze the incidence of intercultural empathy in men and women in travel agencies in Nuevo Léon through factor analysis and with the use of the SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). A theoretical approach to the subject of empathy and in particular, intercultural empathy as well as its relationship with tourism is presented. An instrument with an acceptable pathway is applied, validated by the reliability coefficient of Alfa Cronbach, applied to a sample of 52 people: 37 women and 15 men, with service activities for international tourism in travel agencies. Factorial analysis was used with Bartlett and KMO sphericity tests covering the required acceptance limit, Student’s t test that relates a quantitative and a qualitative variable. Through the different statistical methods used, it was concluded that there is no association between men and women in the level of intercultural empathy in the personnel of travel agencies.
