Resumo: Event Tourism, has become an important contribution to the development of the hotel sector in Barcelona, Spain, especially in the MICE segment. In this context, the Tourism of Events, is responsible for the increase of the average stay through the emergence of the segment Bleisure. This case study aims to demonstrate that the City of Barcelona is a suitable destination to host Events, in this sense this research presents, firstly, a literature review that starts from the definition of Event Tourism and MICE, in addition to the trends of this segment, to focus on the hotel sector as an offer of a set of experiences and services for the sector under study.
