Resumo: In the world, cemeteries are a tourist attraction that is little exploited to this day, but they constitute a growing niche, and it is necessary to include them as places of visit, since they represent an alternative for travelers, who seek a different perspective and like of the unknown, as well as new experiences. These spaces represent the culture of the place where they are located. In the pantheons you can appreciate the architecture, learn about the history and mystical legends of the famous people who are buried there. This type of travel is also known as necro tourism. Mexico has a large number of attractive pantheons, which together with the great traditions of its inhabitants, such as the cult of death, would allow visitors to know part of its cultural heritage. The objective was to analyze cemeteries located in the country, in order to promote a tourism marketing strategy that could be successful as a different option in the already established tours that are carried out in the various locations. A documentary research was carried out with a qualitative approach, secondary sources were consulted. Conclusions. In some cities, unstructured visits to these sites are offered, and furthermore, there is little diffusion. On the other hand, the ignorance of its potential by government agencies that do not recognize black tourism has impeded the promotion of this type of typology.
