Resumo: RESUMOEste artigo apresenta análise sobre a evolução técnica das aeronaves, relacionando-a com a percepção da dimensão acolhimento da hospitalidade. É um recorte temporal no qual são apresentadas as principais modificações técnicas das aeronaves e as condições de mercado que influenciaram o ambiente da cabine de passageiros. Trata-se de pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, relacionada à área das Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, utilizando a revisão de literatura para detectar conceitos-chave. São abordados autores como Camargo (2004) ao enfatizar a dádiva; Lashley (2001), para quem a hospitalidade envolve um anfitrião e um hóspede que esteja fora de seu domicílio; e Milon (2011), abordando o conceito de hospitalidade móvel. Os resultados apontam para o fato de que a evolução técnica das aeronaves influenciou diretamente nos níveis de hospitalidade a bordo, sendo ainda fatores intervenientes as evoluções do mercado, os fatores econômicos e as crises mundiais.PALAVRAS-CHAVEHospitalidade; Hospitabilidade; Acolhimento; Transporte Aéreo; Empresa Aérea de Baixo Custo.ABSTRACTThis article presents an analysis of the technical evolution of aircraft relating it to the perception of the hospitality dimension of hospitality. It is a time frame in which the main technical modifications of the aircraft and the market conditions that influenced the environment of the passenger cabin are presented. This is qualitative research, related to the area of Applied Social Sciences, using the literature review to detect key concepts that have not yet been thought through. Authors such as Camargo (2004) are approached when emphasizing the gift; Lashley (2001) for whom hospitality involves a host and a guest who is away from home; and Milon (2011) addressing the concept of mobile hospitality. The results point to the fact that the technical evolution of the aircraft directly influenced the levels of hospitality on board the aircraft, with other intervening factors being market developments, economic factors and world crises.KEYWORDSHospitality; Hospitality in Tourism; Wellcome; Air Transport Airline Company; Low Cost Company.
