The Route of Isabel la Cato´lica in Extremadura, presented to the public in 2014, was a project of the Junta de Extremadura that, in two phases, presented to the general public the historical enclaves where the presence of the Catholic Monarchs had been relevant in Extremadura during the 15th century, for this, all the available historical, natural and gastronomic resources were compiled and a web page, an App, as well as more than 42 quality tourist experiences to enjoy in the Extremadura territory was created. In this paper, the project is carefully analysed and seven years after its creation, a balance is made of the effort made by the administrations and companies involved in said project, as well as the response given by tourism.
