Resumo: RESUMO: Este trabalho analisa como o planejamento turístico foi levado a cabo, tanto como ferramenta quanto como prática gerencial, no contexto recente da crise pandêmica no Brasil como um modus de gerenciamento e resposta às restrições impostas por este contexto, tomando como locus empírico o caso do destino turístico Parintins, no estado do Amazonas (AM), Brasil. Especificamente buscou-se analisar e compreender as práticas adotadas pelo poder executivo no município de Parintins acerca do planejamento público para a implementação de ações de enfrentamento da crise pandêmica no turismo, tendo em vista o período de suspensão das suas principais atividades. Para a realização da pesquisa foi utilizado o método de estudo de caso com uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se de análise de documentos oficiais disponibilizados nos meios de comunicação oficial da prefeitura do município em estudo. Evidenciou-se a partir dos resultados a necessidade da realização de planejamento público que contemple a utilização de um modus de gerenciamento de crises, sobretudo para a superação da crise desencadeada pela pandemia da Covid-19, principalmente no trade turístico do município. ABSTRACT: This article analyzes how tourism planning was carried out, both as a tool and as a management practice, in the current context of the pandemic crisis in Brazil as a modus of management and response to the restrictions imposed by this context, taking as an empirical locus the case of the destination tourist Parintins, in the state of Amazonas (AM), Brazil. Specifically, we sought to analyze and understand the practices adopted by the executive power in the municipality of Parintins regarding public planning for the implementation of actions to face the pandemic crisis in tourism, given the period of suspension of its primary activities. The case study method was used with a qualitative approach to carry out the research, using the analysis of official documents made available in the official media of the city hall of the municipality under study. The results showed the need to carry out public planning that includes the use of a crisis management modus, especially to overcome the crisis triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the tourist trade of the municipality.
