Resumo: RESUMO: Este artigo buscou analisar como o evento de dança West Coast Swing - WCS, realizado em Brasília-DF, é planejado e associado à prática turística local. Quanto à metodologia, a pesquisa bibliográfica foi utilizada, bem como um questionário online foi encaminhado para 9 (nove) organizadores do evento em questão. Sobre o processo de planejamento, organização e execução do WCS, constatou-se que o evento começa a ser pensado com 5 meses de antecedência e a escolha de Brasília como cidade sede se justifica pela facilidade de acesso, tanto para os organizadores quanto para os participantes. Verificou-se que o evento de WCS intitulado Brasília Swing Brasil - BsB, com apenas dois anos (2018, 2019) de realização vem se tornando uma referência de evento de dança no Centro-Oeste do Brasil, mas ainda requer ampliação em sua visibilidade para que seja considerado um atrativo turístico local. ABSTRACT: This article searched to analyze how the West Coast Swing - WCS dance event, realized in Brasília-DF, is planned, and associated with local tourist practice. As for the methodology, bibliographical research was used, as well as an online questionnaire was sent to the 9 organizers of the event in question. Regarding the process of planning, organizing, and executing the WCS, it was found that the event begins to be thought of 5 months in advance and the choice of Brasília as the host city is justified by the ease of access, both for the organizers and for the participants. It was found that the WCS event entitled Brasília Swing Brasil - BsB, with just two years (2018, 2019) of performance, has become a reference dance event in the Midwest of Brazil, but still requires expansion in its visibility to considered a local tourist attraction.
