Resumo: RESUMO: O presente estudo problematizou os protocolos sanitários elaborados para os meios de hospedagem, com o objetivo de identificar, explorar e descrever as principais mudanças inseridas no contexto de uma hospedagem de pequeno porte na capital potiguar (Natal/RN). A análise se deteve nos procedimentos de check in e check out adotados em tempos de pandemia da Covid-19, a maior emergência de Saúde Pública que a comunidade internacional enfrenta em décadas. Como considerações empíricas da pesquisa, as ações sanitárias em âmbito nacional e estadual verificaram algumas demandas mais específicas alinhadas com a infraestrutura do meio de hospedagem e suas especificidades. Muitos foram os desafios apresentados no contexto pandêmico: da saúde às novas regras de organização do trabalho. Concluímos que os profissionais da hotelaria precisaram mediar, articular e equilibrar três vieses fundamentais para a permanência da atividade: a garantia da segurança sanitária, a prestação de serviços de qualidade e a obediência de protocolos. ABSTRACT: This essay analyzed the sanitary protocols elaborated for the means of lodging, with the objective of identifying, exploring and describing the main changes inserted in the context of a small hosting medium in the capital of Potiguar. The analysis focused in the check-in and check-out procedures, adopted in times of Covid-19 pandemic, the largest public health emergency facing the international community in decades. Actions at the national and state level verified some more specific demand, which aligns with the infrastructure of the hosting environment and its specificities. Many were the challenges presented in the pandemic context, from health to new rules of work organization. We concluded that hotel professionals had to mediate, articulate and balance three fundamental goals for the permanence of the activity: the guarantee of safety, the provision of quality services and the obedience of protocols.
