Resumo: The article presents an analysis of the relationship between organizational culture and firm performance in the context of the restaurant industry in the city of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. From multiple regression analysis, the connection between the variables was identified. For the evaluation of the organizational culture, a questionnaire was used based on the Scale of Diagnosis of Organizational Culture and for performance, a subjective evaluation of the results of the companies. The main findings show that the organizational culture exerts a partial influence on firm performance. The dimensions of teamwork, the creation of change, and the customer focus presented a positive and significant relationship with overall firm performance, while the standards dimension presented a significant and negative effect. In conclusion, it can be noted that teamwork, creation of change, and customer focus are factors that positively promote firm performance, and the establishment of standards and sanctions causes the opposite effect. A solid work team, with the capacity to adapt to changes, can favor the permanence of companies in this industry.
