Resumo: The objective of this study is to decide the level or degree of contribution of the magical towns Program to local development in Tlalpujahua, Michoacán. The methodology used consisted in the application of a survey, whose results allowed the construction of citizen perception indexes for the eighteen variables and for each of the proposed dimensions: economic, social, cultural, politicalinstitutional and environmental. The main results obtained establish the cultural dimension with the best relative performance (56.9), followed by the economic dimension (50.39), then the environmental dimension (46.21), then the political-institutional dimension (42.51) and the social dimension with the worst relative performance (37.23). Finally, a global index is obtained with a value of 46.64, which indicates a deficient contribution of this government program to the local development of Tlalpujahua.
