Resumo: In the southwest of Buenos Aires province and specifically, in Coronel Dorrego district it´s produced a high quality extra virgin olive oil mainly due to the district´s natural environment. The district has more than 80% of the oil mills that are located in the región and of olive´s implanted territory of the Buenos Aires district´s southwest. Likewise, olive activity at present is being linked, through several iniciatives, to tourism. Moreover, it´s being developing in this region the olive route, which provides lot of activities related to olives, linking agriculture to tourism. This paper intends to describe initially the different types of touristic routes by then analize the olive route mentioned before. It is mainly intended to determine whether in this area it´s being developing a food route becoming in an incipient touristic product.
