Resumo: We considered the book Didactic Application of Accessibility to Tourism by Dr. Elías Gil González and Mgtr. Martín Cavallaro as an essential tool not only to communicate people with disabilities’ needs in the field of tourism but in all areas of our daily life. As elements to be highlighted, there is the impetus that the authors put into developing 'accessible' pedagogical and didactic proposals. This is not reduced to the mere fact of mentioning what should be done, but of doing it from the educational space that they occupy and direct (Workshop on inclusive and accessible tourism). It is a book that is dealt with during 10 classes, e each of them having enough theoretical foundation. In addition to that, there are practical exercises withtheir objectives clearly described. There is also a series of self-assessments aimed at questioning students about their behavior in the society regarding disability and tourism. Having mentioned the formal scope and structure of the book, we would like to point out the importance of communicating this as a teaching tool at university as it is the ideal place to conceive quality educational practices catered for dealing with diversity. We consider the university class to be the best place to foster change. Also, we can learn from people with disabilities that there exist other ways of relating when interacting with them. They have to do with being more empathic and being able to attend to others’ needs as well, enhancing our inclusive perspective daily. Authors encourage us to change our behavior and to leave this 'standard functioning' as we live in a city that belongs to all and every person must be included. This book allows us to place in a situation, often uncomfortable due to our ignorance and lack of reflection about these situations in relation to others.
