Resumo: RESUMO: O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de compreender como se dá a gestão do patrimônio cultural em Planaltina/DF e a sua relação com o desenvolvimento do Turismo Cultural no município. O texto está dividido em introdução, esclarecimentos metodológicos, marco teórico sobre Patrimônio Cultural e o Turismo, sendo finalizado com a análise do cenário do turismo cultural da cidade. Foram utilizadas duas técnicas de pesquisa: pesquisa bibliográfica e entrevistas com atores políticos e sociais de Planaltina/DF. Foi possível apreender que o fortalecimento da identidade e da memória são aliados na proteção do patrimônio. A partir do resgate das memórias dos moradores locais, torna-se possível um cenário positivo de restauração das identidades culturais, transformando os mesmos em coparticipantes na preservação dos seus bens culturais. Além disso, foi possível verificar que existe em Planaltina/DF um quadro complexo que dificulta a estruturação do turismo. Palavras-chave: Bens Culturais; Preservação; Identidade; Turismo Cultural.
ABSTRACT: The main objective of this essay is to comprehend what are the perceptions that the local inhabitants have about Planaltina/DF and its relation with the development in the cultural tourism in the region. The research was divided between the theoretical debate about Cultural Heritage and tourism, the historicity of the region, the identity of the local residents, being concluded with the analysis of the city’s cultural tourism scenario. Three techniques were used in this research: bibliographic research; questionnaires, and interviews with political and social actors from Planaltina/DF. It was possible to understand that the strengthening of identity and memory are allies in the protection of heritage. Furthermore, with the rescue of the memories of the local residents, a positive scenario of restoration of cultural identities becomes possible. At the end of the research, it was possible to verify that in Planaltina/DF there is a complex framework that makes the structuring of tourism difficult.
