Resumo: RESUMO: Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e analisar os aspectos hospitaleiros presentes na festividade Folia de Reis da Companhia Estrela do Oriente na cidade de Itaporã - MS. Para isto, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas acerca das temáticas sobre hospitalidade e festas religiosas. Em um segundo momento foram aplicadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com três grupos que compõem os participantes dessa festividade, totalizando o número de sete entrevistados, sendo: dois organizadores, três anfitriões e dois foliões. A limitação no número de entrevistados se deu, sobretudo, devido às restrições impostas pelo isolamento social da pandemia do Covid-19. Nesse sentido, o estudo teve caráter qualitativo e exploratório, não probabilístico. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados tiveram o intuito de: a) compreender as percepções que os participantes da festa possuem em relação à hospitalidade existente na celebração; b) identificar e analisar as práticas hospitaleiras entre anfitriões e foliões; c) entender como se dá a receptividade da comunidade para com a festividade Folia de Reis. A partir da análise realizada foi possível identificar que o festejo de Folia de Reis é uma importante tradição cultural e religiosa da cidade de Itaporã, que é transmitida de geração em geração. O momento de festa é entrelaçado por uma vivência hospitaleira de acolhimento, cooperação mútua, ritos e de laços identitários e sociais. ABSTRACT: This work aimed to identify and analyze the hospitable aspects present in the Folia de Reis festivity of Companhia Estrela do Oriente in the city of Itaporã - MS. For this, bibliographic research was carried out on the themes of hospitality and religious festivals. In a second moment, semi-structured interviews were applied with three groups that make up the participants of this festivity, totaling the number of seven interviewees: three organizers, three hosts and two revelers. The limitation in the number of respondents was mainly due to the restrictions imposed by the social isolation of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this sense, the study was qualitative and exploratory, not probabilistic. The methodological procedures used were intended to: a) understand the perceptions that party participants have in relation to the hospitality existing in the celebration; b) identify and analyze hospitable practices between hosts and revelers; c) understand how the community is receptive to the Folia de Reis festival. From the analysis carried out, it was possible to identify that the celebration of Folia de Reis is an important cultural and religious tradition of the city of Itaporã, which is transmitted from generation to generation. The moment of celebration is intertwined with a hospitable experience of welcoming, mutual cooperation, rites and identity and social ties.
