Resumo: This paper analyzes the relationship between Natural Parks, sustainable development and tourism in Andalusia, the first Spanish Autonomous Community in terms of protected area, whose network of parks has had two successive generations of Sustainable Development Plans in the last twenty years. The objectives, management and general results achieved with this planning strategy are evaluated, and specifically the role that tourism has played in the set of measures and investments made.
