Resumo: From the dialectic territory, heritage and tourism (Trotiño and Troitiño, 2018), the objective of this work is to analyze the role of the Museum-Interpretation Center of the Don Vasco Route in the process of musealization and management of territorial heritage, included in this route. Whose purpose is to promote cultural tourism in the state of Michoacán. As part of the methodology used, it is worth highlighting the use of the Model of Anthropological Analysis of the Conversion of the Place through the Significant Mediation of the Tourist Space, proposed by the anthropologist Antonio Miguel Nogués Pedregal (2006). Through which it becomes aware of those places transformed into tourist territories, the product of negotiation between various actors, in addition to considering the macro-social and micro-social conditions that enable the touristification of the territories through what its author calls the strategy of “giving value and put in value”. It is concluded that the institutional actors and the Ruta Don Vasco museum-interpretation center play an important role in the musealization, management and tourism activation (enhancement) of the territorial heritage and the communities through the use of digital tools, as the main means of dissemination of territorial heritage. In addition to influencing the choice of places that tourists decide to visit in their planning of their itineraries to travel along the route. Likewise, it implies reflecting on the effectiveness of the museums-interpretation centers as instruments of communication of the heritage values that account for the cultural and natural resources present in the territory. In addition to the relevance, they offer to raise awareness about the value of culture and nature as the main supports for the sustainability of heritage destinations.
