Resumo: Although the official discovery of the Roman villa of Los Cantos took place in March 1867 and numerous excavations were carried out there, many of these works were not made public. In fact, many of the exhumed remains disappeared in unknown circumstances and the villa was condemned to oblivion. It was not until the end of the 20th century, when the importance of this site brought with it a change in the strategy to be followed for the conservation and valorization of these vestiges, since the Municipal Corporation decided to acquire it and proceed with its conditioning. This decision involved a long administrative process that culminated in 2012 with the musealization of the set.             The aim of all these works was, on the one hand, to transform an archaeological site accessible only to researchers into a school of archaeology open to students of all levels. On the other hand, open the villa to visitors who had already taken advantage of other tourist resources of the city of Bullas. The first point was covered in 2017 by the collaboration between the Municipality of Bullas and the CEPOAT (Center for Studies of the Near East and Late Antiquity) that established periodic courses of Archaeology in Los Cantos. The second point, developed in parallel, organizes since then a schedule of visits that has made this site one of the emblems of the regional heritage.
