Resumo: RESUMO: O Turismo de Base Comunitária (TBC) é um modelo de turismo que tem princípios que estimulam a promoção do desenvolvimento local sustentável. Contudo, o alcance deles tem sido limitado pela falta de interação com outros atores territoriais, essencialmente os estatais, através da governança pública. A partir disso, este trabalho objetivou identificar os principais desafios para os representantes do TBC participarem efetivamente da governança pública territorial. A pesquisa foi feita por uma revisão integrativa da literatura, interpretando os dados pela técnica análise de conteúdo do tipo temática. Dessa forma, os principais desafios identificados foram: Encontrar mecanismos de governança abertos ao TBC; Engajar os atores do TBC a participarem; Superar a prevalência decisória do Estado; e Enfrentar os interesses meramente mercadológicos. Assim, esta pesquisa contribui na compreensão dos entraves para o TBC se inserir na governança pública territorial, que é uma lacuna teórica. Ademais, pode ajudar a pensar em ações melhorem essa inserção. ABSTRACT: Community-Based Tourism (TBC) is a tourism model that has principles that encourage the promotion of sustainable local development. However, their reach has been limited by the lack of interaction with other territorial actors, essentially state ones, through public governance. From this, this work aimed to identify the main challenges for TBC representatives to effectively participate in territorial public governance. The research was carried out through an integrative literature review, interpreting the data by the thematic content analysis technique. Thus, the main challenges identified were: Finding governance mechanisms open to TBC; Engaging TBC actors to participate; Overcoming the decision-making prevalence of the State; and Facing purely market interests. Thus, this research contributes to the understanding of the barriers for TBC to be inserted in territorial public governance, which is a theoretical gap. In addition, it can help to think of actions to improve this insertion.
