Resumo: RESUMO: Este texto tece algumas articulações possíveis e necessárias entre a Educação Física, o Turismo, o Território e o Capital Social, como contributo a reflexão da atuação do profissional em Educação Física no âmbito do Turismo, notadamente no turismo de aventura. Para tanto, discorre sobre os conceitos de Território e de Capital Social e do ecoturismo desde a perspectiva do desenvolvimento territorial sustentável. Finalmente, apresenta os resultados de um estudo de caso em que tais articulações se fazem presentes, indicando a necessidade de que o profissional que atue neste campo deva se apropriar das teorias ecodesenvolvimentistas. ABSTRACT: This paper weaves some possible and necessary articulations between Physical Education, Tourism, Territory and Social Capital, as a contribution to the reflection about the professional performance in Physical Education in the scope of Tourism, notably in adventure tourism. To this end, it discusses the concepts of Territory and Social Capital and the concept of ecotourism from the perspective of sustainable territorial development. Finally, it presents the results of a case study where such articulations are present, indicating the need for the professional who works in this field to appropriate eco-developmentalist theories.
