Resumo: Scientific and technological development can empower both territories and their  visitors. On the one hand, the increase in these tools allows tourists to enrich their own expectations, making them more informed and demanding. On the other hand, local tourism operators should be able to plan and manage activities in order to offer excellent cultural products with a high educational value, while at the same time contributing to the economic exploitation of this activity. The relevance of this scenario is in line with the Military Tourism Roadmap (MTR), created on a digital platform by the Portuguese Military Tourism Association (ATMPT), where partners have access to privileged information and content management tools that enable the creation and promotion of quality tourism products.  In a previous study carried out by researchers from the INSIGNIA project at the TECHN&ART Research Centre of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, the results presented showed a very strong correlation between partners' perceptions of the effectiveness and efficiency of the MTR and its relevance to the tourist destination. In the present work, these results have been extended through a factor analysis. The results indicate that the majority of participants rated the route positively and that it was successful in promoting positive values for the municipality, including the creation of added value, cluster development and increased tourist flows. Important factors for the success of the route include its adaptability to the needs of visitors, the quality of the tourist experience and the clarity and personalisation of the route by tour operators.
