Resumo: The purpose of this research is to describe the religious and non-religious beliefs of families who like to place altars on the day of the dead; in the State of Tabasco, Mexico; the fashion of the altars returns; as a result of the movie “coconut”; that transmitted the sentimental essence of the Mexican in remembering his loved ones who have already transcended. This research is descriptive, because it describes a large part of the reality or phenomenon, it is also explanatory since it emphasizes the causes and consequences of a phenomenon. The method to be used in the investigation is qualitative, it allows to distinguish the degree of affection that they have had for their dead to remember them. The objective is to know the feeling that the people of Tabasco have on this important day, and how they venerate their loved ones who have already died; as well as the purpose that they are always the protagonists so as not to be forgotten over the years. The expected results, will turn on the true beliefs, or is it a fad; the cost of installing the altar and its meaning of the products that are placed and offered to dead relatives, as an offering of what they liked to eat in life.
