Resumo: Dynamic capabilities are essential in the operation of a smart tourist route. The aim in present is to identify the dynamic capacities of the Don Vasco Tourist Route (DVTR), in Michoacan, Mexico, in relation to its level of integration and development. The route presents elements of smart tourism, therefore, based on the review of several studies, nine variables were measured, on two scales: 1) one on a micro scale through a semi-structured survey designed from expert consultation using the Delphi method; 2) at the macro level, a census was applied to tour operators in the DVTR. The results suggest that, in order to promote the consolidation of the DVTR as an intelligent route, it is necessary promote next variables: financing, innovation and interrelationships in the first place. Meanwhile, information and communication technologies and sustainability still show opportunities to improve. Although the general conditions make its consolidation possible, the global intelligence index of the DVTR shows an acceptable performance (70%), greater integration is required between the actors.
