Resumo: RESUMO: As manifestações culturais são partes das vivências coletivas e da herança simbólica da sociedade humana. As festividades religiosas estão inseridas nessa dinâmica na qual o intangível se corporifica. Sob essa perspectiva, as festas populares de caráter religioso reforçam os laços sociais e de pertencimento que são criados entre os indivíduos, através das memórias e das tradições. Nesse sentido, esse trabalho tem o intuito de analisar quais as relações afetivas e o sentido de lugar dos moradores de Presidente Bernardes com a festa religiosa do Congado, que é realizada anualmente nesta cidade. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto foram realizadas entrevistas com os principais atores envolvidos na organização da festa, bem como a aplicação de entrevistas com a população local. A partir dos métodos utilizados foi possível a apreensão de que, apesar do Congado ser uma importante festividade tradicional da cidade, a festa não é reconhecida e valorizada como um patrimônio cultural religioso local. ABSTRACT: The cultural manifestations are part of the collective experiences and symbolic heritage of human society. Religious festivities are part of this dynamic in which the intangible is embodied. From this perspective, popular festivals of a religious nature reinforce the social ties and belonging that are created between individuals, through memories and traditions. In this sense, this work aims to analyze the emotional relationships and sense of place of the residents of Presidente Bernardes with the religious festival of Congado, which is held annually in this city. To achieve the proposed objective, interviews were carried out with the main actors involved in organizing the party, as well as interviews with the local population. Based on the methods used, it was possible to understand that, despite Congado being an important traditional festival in the city, the festival is not recognized and valued as a local religious cultural heritage.
