Resumo: Screen tourism has become a very common form of tourism among fans of films and series. However, the reasons that lead to this type of tourism, as well as its relative importance, are unknown. Four in-depth interviews and an online survey in travel forums were conducted to answer this question. Immersion, escapism, and entertainment are revealed as the main reasons for film tourism. In addition, satisfaction strongly depends on pre-visit expectations.
