Resumo: The Way of the Holy Grail is known as the “Route of Knowledge, path of Peace” and it crosses Aragon from the north to the south. The story that defines this pilgrimage route, celebrated in perpetuity every five years, is the search for the Holy Grail, the most important relic of Christianity recognized by the Holy See.
Currently this sacred relic is in the Cathedral of Valencia, its study of the application of Iconology, a scientific method typical of Art History, shows that there is an 'iconographic motif' that is repeated from the Kingdom of Judea to the Kingdom of Aragon in the twelfth century.
This article exposes that there is clear evidence of the presence of the Holy Grail in these lands during the Middle Ages thanks to the discovery by two pilgrims of a sculpture carved in wood in the hermitage of Ena, during the month of September 2022.
Therefore, the importance of establishing the application and development of scientific methods when incorporating movable heritage regarding the construction of tourist stories will be explained, avoiding the creation of 'false history' as much as possible. All of this is accompanied by definitive conclusions, supported by the application of Iconology and critical thinking.
