Resumo: The two performance indicators of the company in the area of security are the incident rate and compliance with corporate standards. Both are quantifiable and focused on employees, in turn it is important the legal compliance of the company in matters of health and safety that marks the Ministry of Labor and Social Prevention (STPS). Ganime et al (2010) mentions that one of the predominant environmental risks in the industrial sector is noise. Cheremisinoff (1996) says that noise can result in hearing damage, it can also alter cardiovascular, neurological, human performance functions; In addition, stress is generated, which results in physiological and psychological problems. In the company in question, noise is generated in the extrusion process, where they have 95 to 105.3 decibels, which is above what is allowed, and also does not comply with the Official Mexican Standards related to safety conditions for work centers. This affects the health of the workers and, viewed coldly, generates a cost to the company. Studies are required to reduce the risks associated with this condition, using the principles of environmental ergonomics and once the cost benefit is analyzed, the necessary changes are brought to implementation, it is measured again to comply with the regulations. In addition to the above, a comfort measurement will be carried out to find if there was an improvement in the perception of the workers. All this always observing the system as a whole.
