Resumo: The article studies the status of ecological system of large cities in Azerbaijan, analyzes and evaluates the factors affecting the urban environment. Observance of hygiene and sanitary conditions for the improvement of quality of the urban environment, comfortable life of people has been determined as a key criterion in the article.
