Resumo: This article is focused on the relation between literature and tourism, assuming that literary tourism can contribute to the reinforcement of the identity and genius loci of a tourist destination. The article constitutes simultaneously a study about the Algarvian poet João Lúcio, and suggests the possibility of developing literary tourism in Olhão, based on this poet?s life and work.
