Resumo: The postmodern society, which is fluid, alters the relationship that an individual and society maintain with work. This ceases to be the axis where our own existence, as human beings and the development of our communities revolved. Currently, an individual develops and realizes through leisure activities, the love and freedom, different from the controlled experiences that trivialize the contents and distort the meaning of experience.Tourism, along with culture, is one of the most relevant manifestations of leisure. Today, a visit to living industry is an expression of industrial tourism, recognized as cultural tourism.In this scenario, the article presents the concept of humanistic leisure, as a new paradigm for the development of industrial visits, replacing the increasingly widespread economy of experiences. It also recognizes this emerging tourist-cultural activity based from some of the relevant contributions of European authors. And it ends with the proposal of a series of elements that should be considered in formulating visits to living industry, for the visitors to have a significant and memorable leisure experience.
