Resumo: The current article reflects on the importance of the relationship between tourism, leisure and the active ageing population, with special attention on the elderly perception of socializing groups in Balneário Camboriú/SC- Brasil, concerning the aging image conveyed by the media and its analogy with the leisure. This study results in analysis and understandings about aging, achieved by questionnaires and Focus Group research method.
