Resumo: The relationship between society and your space, as well as the dynamic imposed by such a relationship, has far-reaching and similarly, the follow-up studies such change. This research project, intended to examine the relationship between society and territory constructs the city’s image representing a factor of influence in setting up a tourist destination. The focus of study focuses on Plano Piloto. To conduct the study procedures were adopted as the survey methodology and organization of secondary data surveyed in dissertations, doctoral theses and scientific articles, according to the three thematic areas of the project: the social background, the morphological and image elements of the city. To complement and validate the data were also conducted fieldwork, followed by mappings and making tables to illustrate and confirm the results obtained. As a result, it was possible to understand the role of morphology in the speech of the visitor, through the outstanding characteristics such as long distance, grandeur, dispersed city, green space, organization and compartmentalization, among others, and understand more appropriately the relationship between civil and their sectors through the analysis performed by the application reading the formed elements of Lynch (1997) and Panerai (1983). The image of Brasilia`s Plano Piloto, from tourists, is a conceptual city with great riches to be observed, in which the attractiveness is in architecture and urbanism. Moreover, much as has been concluded that the way the city is a factor of attractiveness, it was necessary to extend the discussion on how the city placed the needs of tourism as the sociability of their environment.
