Resumo: The landscape is a tourist attractiveness factor, especially when it is composed of elements that are not part of the daily lives of people. These elements may differ from those found in major urban centers, as in the case of a rural landscape, and serve as motivation to tourism. Vale dos Vinhedos, located in the south of Brazil, is a main wine tourism destination and object of study in this article. The aim is to analyze the relevance of the countryside of the Vale dos Vinhedos to the visitor as an attractive associated with wine. Through an exploratory research, of qualitative-quantitative nature, interviews to visitors were conducted in one of the main wineries of this wine tourism route. The results allowed to identify the visitor’s profile on Vale dos Vinhedos, relate it to their motivations, and revealed which elements present in the landscape have attracted its attention. It was thus confirmed the importance of landscape as a tourist attraction associated with wine.
