Resumo: Nature activities, such as mountaineering or hiking, are not only sports activities for a restricted audience, these have also progressively become a huge tourism resource, from the millions of people who are travelling across the globe. In fact, as perfectly consolidated in other European countries, nature activities have effectively emerged from our country. On the other hand, it is assumed that the concept of accessibility and tourism for all is not only for social integration but also as a business opportunity since citizens with disabilities represent a significant share of potential clients. There is a growing market for accessible destinations given by the international demand from people with disabilities. The Accessible Tourism Congress in Lousã paved the way in collaborating with several agents to these themes. This article discusses Nature Tourism focusing on pedestrian routes and Accessibility, somehow, a challenge to this approach. In this paper, two practical initiatives have emerged from this congress demonstrating the short-term development of concrete projects that can soon be implemented on the ground.
