Resumo: This work is the result of the experiences during the stages of the project ‘Educational Tourism: An open door for inclusive education’, Department of Tourism, developed by the Dean of Extension, Federal University of Ouro Preto. Among the objectives of the project stands out the offer of interpretive paths of everyday life and different modalities of perception and interpretation of sensory heritage itineraries, aiming to sensitize students to the need for a co-responsibility for the preservation of the cultural landscape, experiencing details of the places’ soul, usually rendered ‘invisible’ in the midst of the urban routine and time. The methodology used was an exploratory research based on spatial explanation, intervention research and study of the environment. Thus, the project used workshops and semi-structured itineraries with dates and pre-established groups. As a result, the research facilitated the recognition and socio-cultural and spatial revaluation of the City Cultural Heritage of Humanity, with a strong focus on the full exercise of citizenship.
