Resumo: Serra da Lousã (located in the Montejunto - Estrela mountain range) presents a set of additional value capable of attracting regional investments and becoming an engine for regional tourism development. Characterized by rare beautiful landscapes, from an orographic point of view, complemented by flora and fauna of undeniable significance in the region, along with other associated resources, it constitutes a unique ecosystem in the Central Region with a strong potential for Mountain Tourism.It is intended to identify the contributions of a strategic programme for sustainable development, based on the Operational Plan of Tourism, as a way to maximize the tourism potentials of Serra de Lousã.It is understood that the coordination of these actions, through a monitoring committee, could be the link among the involved entities and be the success factor in achieving the proposed objectives.
