Resumo: Tourists awarded Lisbon as the best city break destination in Europe, besides other honourable distinctions. This article evaluates the image of Lisbon that tourists shape as a tourist destination, from their movements in the city, the perception of space and places that they frequent. The research method is the questionnaire, aimed at investigating the visitors mobility, perception of the quality of life and infrastructures, as well as their choices and satisfaction regarding neighbourhoods and landmarks. Conclusions confirm that, in image modelling, there is an obvious link between the quality of life and the quality of the tourist experience. Through this questionnaire, we hope to have made a small contribution to the understanding of the perceptive sphere of the individual and his choices in terms of behaviour, which are an essential element of any strategy for tourism marketing.
