Resumo: The main objective of the present study consists in doing a characterization of the motivations and profile of the enogastronomic visitor of the destiny Guimarães, using demographic and behavioral variables. Also, to check if the visitors do the two types of tourism (the gastronomic and the enotourism) and which are their motivations. The characterization of the enogastronomic visitors’ profile of Guimarães was based in the analysis of the results of interviews carried out between 2014 and 2015 and of visitors profile and comments of the establishments of restoration of Guimarães in the site TripAdvisor.We conclude that the profile of enogastronomic visitor of Guimarães is similar to the visitor of the region Oporto and North of Portugal. This visitor is quite demanding because he likes to appreciate a good meal in a calm place. Also, the authors concluded that the gastronomic visitor does enotourism and vice-versa.
