Resumo: The planning and management of the tourist destination must give a special attention to the maintenance and conservation of the natural and artificial resources of the tourist supply. The present paper investigates the homogeneity of the tourist image, analysing the differences that exist among geographical zones inside a regional tourist destination, aiming to improve its competitive position. The Andalusian provinces are compared across different components of the tourist supply, emphasizing that the most significant differences are the resources or the natural attractions as: the landscapes, the beaches, the nature reserves and the urban environments.
